Seating area in Studio garden (2023)

I designed this seating area so that it also serves as a system to collect rain water from the roof surface, which drains directly into the water butt at the side.  It was created using recycled wood from the original structure, my son's old bunkbed, some new wood and a corregated sheet for the roof. I had help putting it together after which I painted and created a sofa from pallets.

Cable drum (2023)

This was another freebie which I decided to use as a little side table for the outdoor seating area. painted with gloss and acrylic paints. Stencilled mandala design and addition of feet. .

My son's new bed (2023). 

I purchased this bed for 50 Euros from ebay and didn't realised until my husband picked it up,  how scratched up and old it was in places. An unexpected but most welcome weekend project.

'The Starry Night' (Van Gogh) Bedside Cabinet (2023)

Chalk paints creating a distressed look to the sides. Dark grey gloss paint for the top and base and gold furniture paint for the feet. The door was painted with acrylic paints.  Finished with 2-3 layers of clear varnish. New hardware was added and gold fabric trim around the top.

Garden table (2022)

Our garden furniture for the studio. Furniture paints and acrylics. Finished with boat varnish to withstand the outside weather. 

Hifi Unit  (2022) 

First time using chalk paints. Finished with clear varnish. Also cut out a hole for the Hi-Fi wires which was finished off with a small picture frame to tidy the cut, and fabric trim.  

Garden bench (2021)

First time trying out mosaic. I made a few mistakes but really enjoyed the process. The bench was painted with furniture paint and stenciled mandala design.

Self-made bench (2022)

Old concrete blocks painted with outdoor wall paint & acrylics. Wooden seat pained with black gloss paint.  

Kids' playhouse (2021) 

Painted with furniture paint and acrylics. Finished with 2-3 layers clear varnish.
